Rory Kennedy described the vital work of the Legal Action Center by quoting her father, Robert F. Kennedy, when he was in South Africa many years ago: "Each time a man stands up for an ideal, or acts to improve the lot of others, or strikes out against injustice, he sends forth a tiny ripple of hope, and crossing each other from a million different centers of energy and daring those ripples build a current which can sweep down the mightiest walls of oppression and resistance." Brad Karp said in his very moving talk that the Legal Action Center has a “unique spirit and mission” and is “the finest public interest law firm in the country.” Click here for the full text of Brad Karp’s speech. |
